How to Pack a Box Correctly
Packing boxes is a science, and if you want to handle your own packing, one you will quickly become good at. Below are our tips for packing the perfect box.
Sizing Your Packing Boxes
As a rule of thumb, the heavier something is, the smaller the box it should end up in. For example, if you plan on packing dishware, you want a small box even though you may have enough dishes for an extra-large one.
Packing Your Boxes
When possible, the contents of the box should fill the space inside. Filling the box like this while packing takes some of the strain off the walls and reduces the risk of collapse. You can use linens to fill in spaces.
Box Labelling 101
It would be best if you labelled boxes with precisely what is inside and placed a more prominent label on at least two sides with what room the box goes in. This decision allows you to sort your boxes when you arrive quickly.
